What It Is
Ceramic coating isn't wax you put on top of paint. It's a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your clear coat — becoming part of the surface, not a layer on it.
The result: a 9H-hardness shell that repels water, blocks UV, resists scratches and chemical etching, and makes every future wash effortless.
Paint Layer Cross-Section
Ceramic coating = the top layer. Invisible to the eye, powerful in protection.
Why Ceramic
Results vary by product and application conditions.
Six Reasons
Water beads up and rolls off, carrying dirt with it. Rain becomes a self-rinse. Mud, road spray, and bird droppings lose their grip on your paint.
At 9H on the pencil hardness scale, ceramic is the hardest coating available for automotive paint. Light swirls and surface scratches can't penetrate it.
Ceramic blocks UV rays that oxidize and fade paint — keeping your color vibrant and the gloss intact for years.
Acid rain, bird droppings, tree sap, bug splatter — all chemically etch unprotected clear coat. Ceramic resists these acids, keeping your paint safe.
A ceramically coated car looks better longer. Better paint condition = higher resale price. It's an investment that pays out when you sell.
Dirt can't bond to ceramic the way it bonds to bare paint. Every wash from here on takes half the time. No waxing ever again.
The Application
Full wash, iron fallout removal, and clay bar. Zero contaminants on the surface before we start.
DA machine polish removes existing swirls and defects. You seal in perfection — not imperfections.
Isopropyl alcohol wipe removes all polish residue and oils. Absolutely clean surface for bonding.
Ceramic applied panel by panel. Each section leveled, then left to flash and begin bonding.
24 hr initial cure, 7-day full bond. Final inspection under lighting to confirm even coverage.
During the initial cure period, keep the car dry and out of rain. After 7 days, the coating is fully bonded and your car is ready for everything.
FAQ
Scratch-resistant, not scratch-proof. At 9H hardness, ceramic handles light swirls and surface marks well. Deep key scratches or rock chips can still cause damage. Think of it as a significantly tougher shield — not an invisible force field.
Yes — for best results. Ceramic seals whatever is on the paint when you apply it. If there are swirls or water spots, they'll be sealed in permanently. We always do at least a one-stage polish before coating to give you the best possible result.
With proper maintenance, 5+ years is realistic. Avoiding automated brushed car washes and washing regularly with pH-neutral soap makes a significant difference in longevity.
Yes — and it'll be much easier. Two-bucket hand wash with a pH-neutral car shampoo is best. Avoid touchless tunnel washes with harsh chemicals. Dirt practically slides off, so washes take far less time and effort.
